I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

New earrings
I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but I have on the most beautiful earrings. Skyla gave them to me. She snuck her money ($4) to school and bought them from the 3rd grade class that was selling them. Let me just tell you a little about Skyla and money. She spends what little money she gets as soon as she gets it. She got $6 from her Nana and Papa for her 6th birthday so the fact that we've convinced her to save her money this long has been a miracle. And then she spent most of it on me! Definitely something I want to remember (and keep) as long as I live...

That is beautiful. How sweet is she! Earrings to be treasured! Just think how many treats she sacrificed! That's at least 8 treats! Truly a sacrifice for a little child! Sweet girl!
OMG! I am totally crying! That is so sweet! You are definitely teaching your kids right! What a sweet girl, that Sky! :)
What a tender story! How precious! Way to go Skyla!
