So Karsten pulled the girls dresser onto himself. He's fine. I saved the fish. Both girls were screaming at the top of their lungs because I initially couldn't find the fish. Broken glass was everywhere. Skyla threw up she was so stressed out. (The picture is the what the room looked like after I lifted the dresser back up.) I'm hoping (as are the girls) that we'll soon be able to laugh at this. However, the room is still such a mess and I'm having to wash every piece of clothing (yucky fish smell) so I have a huge pile of laundry so I'm not laughing yet...
I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

The Cat in the Hat
Remember the story of The Cat in the Hat where the fish is thrown out of his fish bowl and the Cat proceeds to make a huge gigantic mess? Well, Sierra's poor fish Roscoe had the same experience last night with Karsten taking on the role of the cat... "No! No! Make that Karsten go away! Tell that Karsten you do not want to play. He should not be here. He should not be about. He should not be here in the girls room when his mother is out." Roscoe could have been saying the same thing...

It's so great to know I have company in the chaos department!!!! Boys just know how to make a huge colossal mess!
I am so sorry! I usually cry along with the kids when stuff like that happens! Glad the fish is ok!
Oh NO! That can't be good! Good thing Karsten is OK!
I am sorry to see that mess. I am glad Andrew's last fish died so I don't have fish mess. That is horrible to say but I am grateful sometimes that I have allergies--no pets.
oh my goodness! I'm so glad he's OK, but what a disaster zone!
HorninF had a dog named Roscoe growing up.
I'm reading "The Cat in the Hat" to Lukas! He loves it! Sad that you had to have your own version! That Karsten! He's all boy, isn't he? I can feel you there. I shouldn't be, but I'm sort of laughing. Especially at Skyla. She's so funny! And thank goodness Roscoe is fine. We are thinking of going to get a fish to start out our "pet" history. Lukas really wants a cat first, but luckily Pat is allergic. Haha! Wish I could be there to help you with laundry. Love yoU!
Too funny Mindy. You will be laughing big time very soon about this ordeal. I already am - bless your heart! Hopefully Skyla's barf made it into the toilet!:)
