Cherry Baby

Skyla was born right here in Berkeley CA seven years ago today! I can't believe it.

Skyla is suddenly obsessed with cherries so of course we had to have a cherry birthday. She made a big decision on her birthday and got her ears pierced! Yes, she cried. In fact I was a little worried that she was going to come home with only one ear pierced. But she did it! For her special birthday dinner she chose grilled salmon and jello and corn on the cob. (Complete with a shirley temple with a cherry of course!) Interesting choice for a seven year olds that's for sure...

Let's just say it takes lots and lots of red food dye to make red frosting...

Oh she's just adorable! Happy Birthday Skyla. Is she really that old? Has it really been that long ago that we ate at KFC and you got sick :( Wow that's gone by fast.

Holy Cherry Cake! I love it! You always make the cutest cakes. Sky has grown up so much! WOW! She is sure a cutie! Give her a big hug from me!! Happy birthday! Oh, and Aspen is so adorable! I love the dog pictures. I almost couldn't see her in the stuffed animal one. It took me a second to realize she was real! :)

Happy Birthday Skyla! The cherry cake is amazing! I've tried to make red frosting before and you're right, it takes a LOT of food coloring.
