I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

Unwelcome visitor
Can you see the footprints?
Bears make a very big mess when searching for a midnight snack. Things consumed? A bag of powdered sugar, 2 bags of Hersey's kisses, corn nuts and some very moldy left-overs. Thank you Mr. Bear for making our summer guests truly feel like they are living on the wild side while staying at the Hymas house! (There was a total of 5 adults, 6 kids, and one dog sleeping in the house while this happened and no one heard a thing! We may be in need of a new watchdog... Or maybe we could just get David to close the garage door when he's done. :) )

What a mess! I'm laughing so hard though. I can't believe the bear had such a sweet tooth. :) Do I need to bring protection if I come for a visit?
I've always thought those plastic containers Costco fruit come in were hard to open--but wouldn't have guessed they're bear-proof. Or maybe your bear just prefers candy to fruit.
I can't believe that a bear came that close to a household of people. He must have been very hungry! Crazy, we have scorpions you have bears!!! Stay safe and keep your food locked up! Miss you guys...we really need to come for a visit, when it is bear off season!
