I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

ite! Driving home yesterday there was a not-so-subtle reminder that it was the kite festival - the sky was covered in kites. We grabbed our own kite and bikes and headed out to the pier. It was amazing with hundreds of kites being flown. They even had a kite
contest just like in the book The Kite Runner. (This is where that part of the movie was filmed!)

Once again...jealous! I love the picture of Karsten with the lollipop. He has the cutest look on his face. Is he enjoying the one on one time with you and David?
How awesome is that! Love kites! And I"m always singing that song from Mary Poppins when I see them! Fun!
Just when I think you couldn't get any cooler...you find the kite festival and kayaking in Monterey! I want to be just like you! I came home from visiting you and kept telling Pat..."This is what Mindy had when we were there." I find myself buying everything you bought (raspberries, choc. covered raisins, strawberry lemondade). You are just too cool! :) Glad you had fun and take opportunites to sieze the moment!
