I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

Accomplishments!
Karsten can write his name! Just in time to start his new preschool. I am SO proud of him and I am SO proud of me because it was not easy getting him to accomplish this. In fact, I had to resort to bribery. (Notice the shiny new jet in the picture...) Writing came so naturally for my girls. They loved to write and color and doodle and create. Not my little man. He can sit still for exactly 1.7 seconds. And that is not enough time to learn how to draw letters. Thank goodness we have one more year before kindergarten!
Speaking of preschool, Karsten had his very first day! This is a picture of him rocking out in the reading corner (with his pretend book). When it was time for the kids to leave their moms he looked at me and said "I'm so scared!" as he ran to catch up with his new friends. I think he's going to be fine...

What a stud! He is so cute! I love him and wish I could give him a big hug! You'll have to give him one from me!
Karsten, That is FANTASTIC that you wrote your name! Great job! I love you!
Good job Karsten!! I just knew your mommy would help you learn to write you name! Owen misses you SOOOO much and talks about you all the time. I am glad you like your new preschool. Be good for your mommy, and color a picture for me! :)
He's so dang cute and good for him. So you mean I'm not the only one that can't get her son to sit still for more than 5 seconds. he's only 3, but I'm beginning to think he'll never write his name. By the way, I love all the pictures and stories about your adventures in getting to Alaska. So gald you are blogging again.
Way to go Karsten!
