I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

Cheap Entertainment
A movie wasn't needed tonight as we had quite a show in our back yard...Two bull moose fighting it out. Our swingset barely survived!
That is incredible. The closest we come to wildlife in our yard are feral cats that roam the neighborhood and our neighbor's dog. On occasion we do get a coyote too. I need to visit AK.
And I thought it was cool that I had had fox and rabbits living in my apartment complex. Your backyard rocks. Have you tried to feed anything yet? When are we going to see pictures of your house????? I'm anxiously waiting.
I am so glad you are enjoying Alaska. It looks like such an amazing place! Keep blogging so we can share in all your adventures.. just make sure you have a secure house that animals won't roam into :)
Oh My Gosh! Okay, this secures my decision of NEVER tent camping in your backyard! :) (which means I have to come visit so I can make sure I somehow tell my adorable nieces and nephew that there is no way that their Aunt Christy is brave enough to sleep out in the Alaskan night!) ;) I know, I'll just come in the middle of the freezing winter! :)
Seriously, you have the best picture material ever. A photographers dream. The pictures come to you. What a fascinating sight. Jealous, jealous, but with lots of love.

Crazy!
So can you let your kids play outside alone, or do you always have to be there...in case a HUGE animal just shows up? Really...I'm wondering!
