I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

Gentle Yoga
I've been dying to get into yoga and I finally found a class that would work while Karsten is in preschool. It's called "Gentle Yoga" which is perfect because I'm new at yoga and NOT flexible. Well, Marianna and I went today and it turns out that "gentle" actually means "senior citizen." We were the youngest ones there by 30 years. They were a nice group of people and we actually had a good time, but it was a little embarrassing. (This is not a picture of the class - most of the hair there was a little whiter...)
It was really enlightening to me, though, to see how my body is going to change. Simple things like being able to stand against a wall with my arms straight against it was really hard for these folks. It reminded me to not take for granted the way my body moves and works right now. I'm so grateful that I can run and swim and chase my kids around. It may not always be the case...
New outlook on life as well as some good "gentle" stretching - not bad for an afternoon without kids. :)

That is about my speed! Too bad it's not closer, I would go with you and we could have a good laugh (at me trying to do yoga)!
good for you! I took a water aerobics class with the elderly, I was swimming circles around them! hahah

I love yoga and do it all the time. Good for you! Also, Good for you for the Tri's. Someday I will be in shape to do something like that. Way to go!
