My sister is here! Her wonderful husband gave her a ticket to come visit me for her birthday... without kids! It has been such a joy to have her here all to myself. My kids were crying tonight because she goes home in the morning and they didn't get to see her as much as they would have liked... Sorry kids - this was definitely a sister trip. (And thanks to my friends for watching my kids so that this could be possible!!)
We ran across the Golden Gate bridge, ate lots of yummy food, shopped, laughed, and talked non-stop. It was so wonderful!!! I was really worried at first about the timing of her visit because we just found out my Dad is really sick and I was worried we'd spend more time crying together than laughing. But it was really comforting to both of us to have each other and really helped each other to stay positive while we are waiting for the biopsy results. No one could understand my sudden tears or silence better than she could. Love ya sis!!!
I gave my sister a trip to IFLY for her birthday present. It is such a cool place! I was so scared it wasn't going to be as fun as other times I have been since we had a very strict instructor. He went over the rules several times and kept saying things like "Never move quickly." "Never do this." "Never do that." He was so serious! But then we got in there and he was totally hands off. We were flying (mostly) on our own! He even taught me how to spin around! It was so cool. I love flying!!
Tuesday night we came home to a huge surprise. David got us tickets to the Warriors game! Not just any tickets, but seats 20 rows up! It was so sweet of David and I felt quite guilty since neither JaNece or I are big sports fan. But we had so much fun! The highlight of our night was texting Pat, JaNece's husband, who is a HUGE sports fan, and telling him where we were. His jealousy made our night. :)
And of course JaNece's trip to California wouldn't be complete without going to Wicked! Of course there were no (affordable) tickets for sale, but they do a lottery 2 hours before the show and for $25 you can get limited view tickets. We went and she won! It was thrilling. I loved seeing the show again now that I have every single song memorized. I want to take my girls again!

This truly was the best trip! I loved every minute of it until it was time to leave. Thanks for posting the FAT picture of me in the flowers. If you look at the picture on my post, I totally photoshopped it. I'm skinny! haha! I guess everyone will know the truth now. Thanks again for a super fun week!!
I'm glad you had such a great time with your cute sister!
You and your sister are so lucky to have each other. She sounds like an amazing sister...and I KNOW you are an amazing sister to her.
So glad you had fun together.
