I seem to remember (and document) the big events in our lives - birthdays, holidays, job changes... But what I want to remember is the little things - the way David and I hold hands, the way Karsten looks with his hands behind his head without a care in the world, Skyla's giggle, and Sierra's ability to block the world when she's reading. So here's to what I want to remember the most... the little moments of our lives that equal a much bigger picture.

Next stop - Alaska!!
Home of the grizzly bear, Sarah Palin, the midnight sun, and now the Hymas'! Yes, we are moving! David got an incredible job opportunity that's going to allow him more time with us and more time to do the things he loves. We are thrilled with that. We are not thrilled to be saying good-bye to our friends here who have become our family away from family. We are not thrilled to be moving so far away from our actual family. It has been one of the hardest decisions we've had to make.
So for those of you wondering, here is our plan: We will move all our stuff next week. Me and the kids will then go to Disneyland to soften the blow. We will spend three weeks with family in Utah. Then we will drive for 10 days to get to our new home. It takes 53 hours from Utah to get there. We will try not to kill each other. :)

Sounds like an adventure. Yes it is always hard to leave friends behind and move farther away from loved ones. I have done this many times, but have always been grateful for the new opportunities that present themselves.
You will love it. And this time we need to come visit you guys for sure!!!
