Hidden treasure? Count us in! David introduced our family to the world of geo-caching this weekend. Boy were the kids excited! David downloaded some coordinates onto his GPS, and we set out to find some treasures. Since this was our first time and we really had no idea what we were doing, we luckily ran into an expert geo-cacher (shown in the picture) who helped us with our first find. It was so exciting! The "treasure" turned out to be some old toys and a C.S. Lewis book which we decided to leave since we forgot to bring anything to add to the box, but the kids were excited nonetheless.
Sierra found our second treasure, called "The Silver Bullet." Our third find took a bit of hiking, but we found it! It was called "The Fun Box." It was such a fun way to be outside and hiking around. Hiking will never be the same because who knows where there might be a geo-cache - they are all over the place!

I've always wanted to do that!
I wondered when you guys would get into that! Sounds like it's just up David's alley. Speaking of David...nice hat! :) Love you guys!
The first picture is my favorite. David is totally in his element! It's almost like he is saying, "Mindy, there is no time for pictures we are hunting treasure!"
Oh my gosh that looks like fun.
I am glad you guys were able to figure it out! Remember that 4th of July on Angel Island when Nathan wondered all over trying to get it down?! We miss you guys!
We made one attempt at geo caching. I would like to try it again. Our neighbor does quite a bit of it. It's pretty fun.
I went geo caching on my mission in Illinois... it was really fun!
You guys have a dream life!
