Our tradition continues...

Ice skating on Christmas Eve is a tradition we started the first time we lived up here 8 years ago.  Sierra was 4 years old and Skyla was a baby!  I used to pull her around on the sled.  So even this year though David was only able to spectate rather than skate, it was important to the kids that we continue our tradition.  Granted, this year we had to go on Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve since it was -6 degrees.  It warmed up to a balmy 0 and was perfect.  :)

Thank you for letting us steal your Christmas Eve ice skating tradition. How we missed your family this year! And how jealous we are that you have your own skates and don't have to rely on stinky rental skates!

So it must have been 7 years ago when we came to AK for Christmas and you introduced us to this great tradition! It is one of our favorites and always better when we're lucky enough to go with you guys! Dito Jenny on the rental skates! :)
